TAG-College Launches New Educational Initiative in Jerusalem .


(MENAFN Press) Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College) and Al-Ibrahimieh College/ Wajdi University College of Technology/Jerusalem signed on Sunday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see future cooperation regarding business opportunities in educational development in Jerusalem.

 
HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of TAG-Org, welcomed the delegation headed by Ms. Nadeerah Abu -Ghazaleh, president of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Labib Arafeh, member of the Board of Trustees, Engineer Fouad F. Dakkak, member of the Board of Trustees and Ms. Naheel Hashem Zaben, associate dean for Administrative Affairs.

 
HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said, "We are really excited to discover new ways to cooperate with Al-Ibrahimieh College/ Wajdi University College of Technology, one of the leading educational institutions in the region. During this visit we will have several issues to tackle and discuss in many fields."


Ms. Nadeerah Abu -Ghazaleh, president of the Board of Trustees expressed her happiness with the MoU that "will lead to future projects and more cooperation in the educational sector."

 
The two institutions will establish partnership in academic programs related to business and technology at both undergraduate and graduate levels; community development programs including Cambridge International Diplomas in IT, CICD Professional Diplomas in Human Resources Management (HRM), Teacher Training and Business & Accounting; Joint Research Projects, Workshops, Seminars and Meetings in addition to others.


During the two-day visit, the delegation visited Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge), Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) in addition to other companies under the TAG-Org umbrella.

The honoring ceremony took place during the Printemps 12th University of Social Auditing Social Audit & Culture(s) Conference held in collaboration with the Arab Society of Faculties of Business Administration (ASFBA), the French-speaking academic associations (AGRH, ADERSE) of ANDRH, the HR European, African and Middle East Associations, Social Audit National Institutes and CLERH (IAS Lebanon) and in partnership with le Cercle éthique des affaires (CEA), the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Education and Research Development (EFERD) and the Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences at USEK (Lebanon).

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the current UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID) Chairman, is a pioneering businessman in the Arab region and beyond, and a visionary contributor to the cause of socioeconomic development in the Arab world, and developing nations in general.


HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh began his career as an accountant, with a degree in accounting from the American University in Beirut. After beginning his own firm in the early 1970’s he quickly rose to a position of regional and international leadership, serving as a member of the board of the International Auditing Practices Committee (IAPC) of the International Federation of Accountants (1987-1990) and as member of the board of the International Accounting Standards Committee (1988-1990).


During the same decade, Abu-Ghazaleh formed the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA), the first professional organization for Arab accountants, which led to a career-long commitment to building infrastructure for the development of Arab professional services. He later created the Arab Society for Intellectual Property, Arab Knowledge Management Society, and Licensing Executives Society - Arab Region, and other regional organizations to provide educational and regulatory support to Arab professions.


HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh is recognized for his many contributions in the auditing field through Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) one of the leading firms of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors in the Arab Region and a full member of the Forum of Firms (FoF). The honoring ceremony took place during the Printemps 12th University of Social Auditing Social Audit & Culture(s) Conference held in collaboration with the Arab Society of Faculties of Business Administration (ASFBA), the French-speaking academic associations (AGRH, ADERSE) of ANDRH, the HR European, African and Middle East Associations, Social Audit National Institutes and CLERH (IAS Lebanon) and in partnership with le Cercle éthique des affaires (CEA), the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Education and Research Development (EFERD) and the Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences at USEK (Lebanon).


Upon receiving the award, Abu-Ghazaleh said, "I stand here to present to you my professional, cultural, and corporate social responsibility statement of account, for you to socially audit me, and wish to thank you sincerely for selecting me to be so awarded today, and to promise to work harder to deserve it. I am overwhelmed by this great honor."


HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the current UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID) Chairman, is a pioneering businessman in the Arab region and beyond, and a visionary contributor to the cause of socioeconomic development in the Arab world, and developing nations in general.


HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh began his career as an accountant, with a degree in accounting from the American University in Beirut. After beginning his own firm in the early 1970’s he quickly rose to a position of regional and international leadership, serving as a member of the board of the International Auditing Practices Committee (IAPC) of the International Federation of Accountants (1987-1990) and as member of the board of the International Accounting Standards Committee (1988-1990).


During the same decade, Abu-Ghazaleh formed the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA), the first professional organization for Arab accountants, which led to a career-long commitment to building infrastructure for the development of Arab professional services. He later created the Arab Society for Intellectual Property, Arab Knowledge Management Society, and Licensing Executives Society - Arab Region, and other regional organizations to provide educational and regulatory support to Arab professions.


HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh is recognized for his many contributions in the auditing field through Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) one of the leading firms of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors in the Arab Region and a full member of the Forum of Firms (FoF). FoF conducts its business through its executive arm, the Transnational Auditors Committee (TAC), which is also a committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).


He also established Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College), part of the German Jordanian University (GJU) in 2006 offering high quality business programs through its unique case study method of teaching, group work and class presentation. Among the offered MBA degrees are: International Accounting, Management, Quality Management, Human Resources Management, Banking and Finance and Marketing.


Corporate social responsibility (CSR) also plays a big part in HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh's life with many projects such as Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge), Computer Refurbishing centers for needy schools, Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) and TAGPEDIA in addition to others are established to serve communities in the Arab world.

Kaslik awards honorary distinction to Talal Abu Ghazaleh .


Talal Abu Ghazaleh, the chairman and chief executive officer of Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organisation (TAG-Org), was honoured this week by the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in recognition of his outstanding achievements in international business and social communities.
