AGIP Announces Winner of “Test your Trademark Logo Knowledge” Competition .
Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) announced the winner of its Test your Trademark Logo Knowledge Competition.
Mr. Ahmed Subeihi, employee at Umniah was able to get all answers right and was awarded with a Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Laptop (TAGITOP), the first state-of-the-art Arab laptop.
Mr. Subeihi expressed his happiness after winning the first prize saying:"I would like to thank AGIP for this wonderful and useful competition. For sure I will participate again and enrich my knowledge even more."
Meanwhile, Mr. Charles Sha'ban, AGIP executive director said: "We are really excited with the positive reception the competition gained from around the world and we have decided to have the competition four times a year to let more people enjoy this educational contest."
Fulfilling its role as a leading firm in IP protection and upon the clear directives of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, AGIP is bearing the responsibility of introducing youth to the world of trademarks," he added.
Around 55 participants took part in the event from Germany, US, India, UAE and Jordan in addition to others in which they had to test their knowledge of trademark logos.

The “Corporate Governance for Family Business” workshop stressed the importance of establishing a governance institute.
Call on KONRAD and TAGSB for Governance Institute and a Family Business Association
The “Corporate Governance for Family Business” workshop, recently concluded, stressed the importance of establishing a governance institute calling on HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) to give this issue a priority.
The workshop, hosted by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAGSB), was jointly organized by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Amman and TAGSB under the patronage of HE Mr. Sami Gammoh, Minister of Industry and Trade.
Addressing the workshop were HE Minister Gammoh, HE Dr. Abu- Ghazaleh, Dr. Martin Beck, resident representative at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, and Mr. Mustafa Nasreddin, senior executive director at TAG-Org who underlined family businesses, their importance to the Jordanian economy, challenges facing them, and legal requirements governing their operations.
The participants agreed upon the formation of the Jordanian Association of Family Businesses and assigning Mr. Loay Abu-Ghazaleh to be in charge of its organization.
It has been agreed to form a committee of the following: Mahmoud Ababneh- Saleh AL Raggad- Sami Kharabsheh- Ali Al Shraideh- Dr. Khaled Al Rajha- Arwa Najdawi- Yusef Bishtawi- Fuad Kreishan- Ahlam Naser- Yunes Jamra- Fadi Al Dawoud- Khaldoon Zeenati- Muna Khleifat.
The meeting where this committee will be formed is going to be held early 2012.
Other recommendations included the need to organize a similar workshop in cooperation with KAS on financial corruption in private and public sectors in 2012 and the formation of an integrated system on corporate governance focusing on family businesses which will be conducted by TAG-Org and KAS.
The participants also underscored the necessity of adapting international standards and guidelines to the needs of the Jordanian economy.
