Foundational procedures commence to launch Talal Abu-Ghazaleh corporate global virtual university.



A new era in education will soon see the light in a form of a corporate global virtual university that will take e-education to another level of superiority.

A team of 40 experts in education, e-solutions, training and business met under the umbrella of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) to establish the University of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh (UTAG), the first global digital business university of its kind in the world.

The University is the brainchild of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG-Org chairman and CEO who saw a need for an educational body that can provide superior educational programs tailored to the needs of individuals whether in the region or anywhere around the globe.

To meet this goal and vision, a task force of the concerned specialists is currently working to accomplish the foundational procedures and set up a timeline to carry out all related tasks for the establishment of this academic institution expected by the end of this year.

This is the first business model of a corporate virtual university with no limits and nonstop innovation with special programs designed to fulfill every individual's needs in business, management, information technology and languages. The University will cover every corner in the world with easy and secure registration, comfortable online settings and professional staff, gifted scholars, thought-leaders and professors who are leaders in their field.

UTAG will benefit from the successful educational programs which started with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Business University in Bahrain, the German Jordanian University, training programs and TAG-Confucius Chinese Language Center.

UTAG will offer variety of education programs virtually and on a blended setup mainly in Business, IT, Management, Islamic Financing among others. The programs include academic degrees, professional certificates and language diplomas.

With a special focus on languages, UTAG promises a complete range of training programs to cover Arabic, English and Chinese.

The University will sign cooperation agreements with education and quality examination centers throughout the world for all programs it offers.

In addition, UTAG will virtually operate through TAG-Org's own e-cloud and on the ground when necessary, through academic partnerships with pioneering universities and institutes all through the Organization's 70 offices, centers and correspondents to cover the areas of Asia, Africa, South America and East Europe.

Fulfilling its corporation's CSR in education, TAG-Org will also establish a specialized News Agency in education, TAG Education, along with Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information Technology International news agencies.

Abu-Ghazaleh meets Arab Union of Surveyors delegation.



HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) met with a delegation representing the Arab Union of Surveyors (AUS) in Beirut. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and Dr. Sarkis Fadous, President of the Arab Union of Surveyors discussed several key issues including AUS joining the Union of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States, the possibility of holding a conference in Beirut on the demarcation of Arab countries and map of the unified Arab world, the formation of an advisory committee of experts from the AUS to contribute to the demarcation of the different types of land, sea and air and provide consultation to decision makers in the Arab world in addition to unifying the geographical names in the Arab world and launching an electronic Atlas.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the website development department at TAG-Org is ready to develop AUS website according to the latest standards.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Fadous presented AUS Shield to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his efforts and initiatives in the Arab countries and the world.
