ASCA-Jordan Organizes Specialized Training Course for Employees of the Income and Sales Tax Department

AMMAN ------- September 12, 2012--- The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA)/Jordan held a specialized training course entitled “Basics of Financial Accounting” at the headquarters of the Income and Sales Tax Department.
The training course, attended by 27 employees mainly from Legal Affairs and Tax General Prosecution Divisions at the Department, discussed several topics including Financial Accounting and its objectives, basics of accounting, definition of the accounting system, analysis of financial transactions, registration of financial transactions, bookkeeping, financial statements and their classifications.
At the graduation ceremony, the Department’s General Manager Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Bashar Saber, highly praised the efforts of the Society headed by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh in upgrading the professional level of the accounting and auditing in the country in particular and in the Arab world in general and for the continuous efforts in translating the international standards into Arabic. He also underlined the significance of such training for the employees at the legal affairs division to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Meanwhile, ASCA Manager Mr. Salem Al Ouri extended his gratitude to the Department’s management for their confidence in the Society’s programs and their continuous training provided to their staff.
The participants, meanwhile, expressed their satisfaction with the level of knowledge and information that positively enhanced their experience in the accounting field.
