TAGSB Welcomes New Professor for MIS Specialized Crash Course

Prof. Joseph B. O’Donnell will teach Management Information Systems



AMMAN-------June 12, 2012----- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAGSB) is currently holding a specialized crash course in Management Information Systems (MIS) headed by Prof. Joseph B. O’Donnell from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.



Dr. O’Donnell comes to TAGSB with a varied and accomplished MIS background. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Public Accountants, and the Information Systems Audit Control Association.

   

An active researcher, Dr. O’Donnell has authored numerous articles, three book chapters and presented papers at fifteen academic and professional conferences. His current research interests include Information Technology Auditing, Automated Fraud Detection, Diffusion of Innovation, Accounting Information Systems Education and E-business.



Dr. O’Donnell who is hosting two sections with more than 80 students at TAGSB expressed his satisfaction with the classes praising students for their work and efforts which reflect positively on their achievement.



"After experiencing teaching at TAGSB and dealing with its amazing students, it became very clear to me that TAGSB hosts a special combination of modern teaching and future leaders, a combination that is hard to find in major colleges around the world," he said.



Dr. O’Donnell is a Professor of accounting at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, chairman of the Accounting Department, and the Director of the Graduate Accounting Programs. He also serves as the faculty advisor to the Accounting Information Systems Committee of the Canisius College Council on Accountancy. Professor O’Donnell has also served as the Faculty Moderator of the Accounting Society, a member of the Canisius College Faculty Senate, and a faculty representative on the Canisius College Budget Committee.
