Abu-Ghazaleh stresses that TAGSB’s criterion is excellence as the sole requirement for admission, MBA in Criminal Accounting introduced at TAGSB
AMMAN --- June 24, 2012 --- The Higher Advisory Council of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAGSB) held a meeting at the School’s premises in the presence of a host of politicians, businessmen and scholars.
At the beginning of the meeting, President of TAGSB Advisory Council Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh commended the attendees for the efforts they voluntarily exert to excel in TAGSB’s performance welcoming at the same time the new members who constitute an added value to the accomplishments and successes realized in the few past years mainly the recognition of TAGSB at the lead of the Arab universities that grant MBA.
“We are proud of TAGSB which represents the only partnership between the government and the private sectors as one of the German Jordanian University faculties. A joint academic mixture that has proven its success,” Abu-Ghazaleh said.
In the meantime, the Council discussed several related topics including the increasing number of students who are interested to enroll in TAGSB’s programs from Jordan and outside which surpasses the capacity of the Faculty. Several suggestions were proposed focusing on raising the level of acceptance requirements. On this regard, Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that TAGSB’s criterion is excellence as the sole requirement for admission.
From his part, Dean of TAGSB Dr. Hesham Gharaibeh said that the School is in the process of introducing an MBA program in Criminal Accounting in a very professional and objective method. Dr. Gharaibeh added that this program is still new in the Western universities and there is a need for it in the region. The MBA program in Criminal Accounting tackles several topics including money laundering and financial corruption among others.
The Dean also revealed that the new MBA in Logistic Science has been accredited and there are many individuals and enterprises who showed interest in registering in this program.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh reiterated the significance of education saying we are seeking to enhance the tendency of education for good citizenship; which means a good graduate who serves his community through social and voluntary work. He also highlighted the significance of including the education of citizenship as one of the graduation requirements in the future.
President of the Council underlined a number of achievements mainly the preparations to launch the first state-of-the-art digital university, The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University, a project which Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) is working to realize since inception.
Abu-Ghazaleh also mentioned two vital issues; the first is related to preparations to hold a dialogue between His Royal Highness prince El Hassan and the youth at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Business Forum which has become a platform for many important events and discussions.
The second issue that is under process is the preparations for holding the Arab Youth Summit of the Knowledge Society by the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States that was endorsed at the Arab Economic and Social Summit held at Sharm El Sheikh. The Summit is to be held at the League’s headquarters in Cairo and will host Arab personalities ag guest of honor to enrich the discussions with their thoughts and experiences.
