Economic Policy Development Forum Issues its 1st Annual Report End August

AMMAN --- July 3, 2012 --- The Economic Policy Development Forum (EPDF) is in the process of finalizing the sectorial reports, while committees are wrapping up the first comprehensive annual report expected to be released at the general meeting August 29, 2012.

The committees of the Forum organized number of seminars, workshops and meetings on several financial, economic and social development issues in Jordan and hosted a number of officials from the economic sectors to tackle these issues in direct and open discussions.

Preparations are set to hold a seminar to discuss the report on "The Population in Jordan 2010 " where Dr. Raeda Al Qotob, secretary general of the Higher Council for Population ,will be the main speaker at the seminar to be held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Business Forum on July 11,2012.

The Forum has previously issued reports on education, higher education, energy, and the state of the Budget in Jordan. A report on accountability, integrity and impartiality as a contribution to formulate the basis to encounter corruption and mismanagement will be released in few days. As well a specialized committee is preparing a report on medical tourism in Jordan to come up with a study to establish a medical city in Amman.

The Economic Policy Development Forum was initiated by H E Dr. Talal Abu – Ghazaleh in June 2011 with the main objective to study analyze and revise economic issues and studies in Jordan, to be presented to the government decision makers in Jordan.
