ASCA Jordan Holds Nine Training Courses for the Audit Bureau's Employees

The Arab Society of Certified Accountants  (ASCA) / Jordan has conducted nine specialized training courses at the headquarters of the Audit Bureau, with the participation of 230 employees from various departments in the Bureau

AMMAN-----June 11, 2012------- The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA)/ Jordan has conducted nine specialized training courses at the headquarters of the Audit Bureau, with the participation of 230 employees from various departments in the Bureau.

The subjects of training courses focused on international audit standards, quality control, audit and investigation committees, audit using statistic samples, audit risk analysis, modern methods for uncovering fraud and forgery, financial analysis for internal and external auditing purposes, international public sector accounting standards and risk-based audit.

The graduation ceremony was held under the patronage of Mr. Waleed Al Rahahle, Acting General Secretary of the Audit Bureau and Mr. Salem Al Ouri- ASCA Manager.

Al Rahahle valued the fruitful cooperation between the Bureau and ASCA, and commended on ASCA’s pioneering role in upgrading the profession.

Furthermore, Mr. Al Ouri praised the Bureau’s interest in developing the professional capabilities of the Kingdom's employees. He also thanked the Bureau for their trust in ASCA/ Jordan in holding specialized professional courses, indicating that other future courses are to be held in cooperation with the Bureau in the north and south provinces of Jordan. Moreover, he emphasized ASCA’s willingness to exert all possible effort to serve the Audit Bureau as well as all ministries and institutions in the country.

Jordan Audit Bureau is an independent financial control institution that is responsible for auditing public funds as well as the state revenues and expenditures. It aims at maintaining public funds, ensuring legal and effective use of public funds, developing administration of public funds, verifying validity of payments in accordance with valid laws, regulations and instructions, indicating gaps in the applicable financial or administrative legislations, suggesting methods to address such gaps, cooperating with local, regional and international institutions to upgrade the control system and making sure of the proper implementation of applicable legislations.
