ASCA Celebrates the Second Batch of Financial Analysis Course Graduates

ASCA branch intends, in cooperation with Al Yarmouk University, to conduct specialized courses that aim at developing the capabilities and skills of the students of economics and management sciences as well as those working in banking and financial institutions, and communicating the information related to the latest developments in local and international markets
IRBID --------May 23, 2012--------- The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) branch at Queen Rania Center for Jordanian Studies and Community Service/ Al Yarmouk University celebrated the graduation of the Financial Analysis Course students held under the patronage of Dr. Ziyad Al Kurdi, vice president of Al Yarmouk University.
Dr. Al Kurdi assured that conducting this course came in consistence with the Center's goals and mission.
"It is a demonstration of the partnership between the University and the public and private sectors, which aims to develop our local bodies and advancing the work of institutions related to the course program," he said.
He added that Al Yarmouk University encourages these types of partnerships with the local community institutions, especially ASCA which enjoys a good reputation inside and outside the country.
The course program, in which a number of university students from various nationalities have participated in, included a series of lectures regarding the concept of financial analysis and its types, the concept of an entity's financial statements, financing sources, utilization of resources, financial analysis of sources and uses of resources in addition to certain terminologies in asset management, long-term analysis of financial position and valuation of financial investments.

Mr. Salem Al Ouri, ASCA manager, indicated that such specialized courses contribute to promoting and qualifying students for the labor market as well as providing them with job opportunities.
