TAG-Knowledge and AIESEC Amman Sign MoU

AMMAN ---- March 14, 2012 --- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association for International Exchange of Students in Economics and Commerce (AIESEC) Amman.

Present in over 110 countries and territories and with over 50,000 members, AIESEC is the world's largest student-run organization. Focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development, AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to be global citizens, to change the world, and to get experience and skills that matter today.

The expansion of AIESEC to Jordan has started back in 2006 when four people, as a start up team, established the organization.

The MoU was signed by TAG-Knowledge Director Mr. Tareq Hammad and AIESEC Amman President Mr. Mohammad Al-Baddar.

“Signing this agreement falls in accordance with HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh’s vision in supporting the youth and providing the required appropriate infrastructure for them to practice their skills and activities,” Mr. Hammad said.

According to the MoU, TAG-Knowledge will provide its services and facilities to host the AIESEC Amman activities and both organizations will cooperate in marketing each other’s activities and services.

TAG-Knowledge is one of the initiatives by HE Dr. Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh to perform its corporate social responsibility towards the Jordanian and Arab communities, and to be a hub for promoting intellect and knowledge, developing Arab youth and human resources, and qualifying the largest number of local professionals by providing them with competitive skills through exposure to knowledge and developments in the international community under the direct supervision of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) experts.
