Cooperation Agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization and Civil Status and Passport Department

14 Sep 2017 AMMAN - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and the Civil Status and Passport Department (CSPD) inked a cooperation agreement for the provision of an array of professional services offered by TAG-Org.

The agreement was signed by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and HE Mr. Fawwaz Al Shahwan, CSPD Director, in the presence of representatives for both parties.
 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that his Organization endeavors to serve public institutions by offering its professional services and expressed his honor at serving the CSPD which he credited with the creation of a comprehensive database of all citizens’ data and offering services to all citizens.

He also mentioned that the Organization seeks to offer  various services in the field of technological advancements.

“Providing our services to the Department is an opportunity to do our duty towards our beloved country which is considered an oasis of security and stability thanks to the wise leadership of HM King Abdullah II”.

For his part, Al Shahwan said that the signing of the agreement is in line with CSPD’s efforts towards digital transformation, stating that the agreement aims at simplifying bureaucratic procedures for citizens which will save time and effort for all stakeholders.

He also underscored that the signing of the agreement and its implementation is consistent with the government's approach for simplifying procedures for citizens, and he highly praised the initiative of Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh in establishing a knowledge station for staff capacity building and skills enhancement,  developing the department’s interactive website stating that it is in line with the framework for the implementation of e-government.

The agreement stipulated the formation of a joint working team to analyze future cooperation for organizing a number of activities and services  including the provision of a switchboard operator, development of a new website using PHP programing language integrated with the internal portal,  development of  issuing and renewal applications compatible with all service recipients, designing a laws and procedures brochure, designing posters and presenting the Department’s Annual Report  to decision makers and citizens free of charge.

The agreement also prescribed connecting the Department’s website with social networks; activating digital marketing and social interaction with the local community; helping the Department determine training needs of its staff; as well as providing 10 TAGITOP (14 inch) to Department employees to be used in training; establishing a knowledge station at the CSPD headquarters to be equipped for training purposes; developing and establishing an internal portal which enables users to interact through MS Sharepoint platform to communicate with  Management, Human Resources and Accounting internally; developing mobile applications and integrating it with the website to facilitate communication with the Department by members of the public.
