Abu-Ghazaleh and Ro’ya TV Sign MoU to Explore Methods of Cooperation

AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), and Mr. Fares Sayegh, General Manager of Ro’ya TV signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore methods of cooperation between both parties.

The MoU includes discussing possible joint-cooperation in the field of Auditing, Consulting, Information Technology, Training and Certification, Intellectual Property, Translation, and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum.  The MoU also entails Ro’ya TV covering all of TAG-Org’s activities, events, advertisements, interviews, and mini documentaries.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh indicated, “We are pleased with this joint-cooperation work with Ro’ya TV and in delivering beneficial information for the Jordanian citizen.”

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said, “We will create a real database in the Hashemite Kingdom for Jordan that gives accurate information about people – in order to facilitate sending data based on interest, profession and other fields.”

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh spoke of the future in his capacity as being a member in the UN taskforce for Media Convergence between Information Technology and Telecommunications indicating, “Through the ‘Internet of Things’ we can look forward to working towards the simultaneous channeling of news pieces through a variety of media outlets –and the convergence of all media.”

Mr. Sayegh indicated, “Ro’ya TV, established just five years ago, continues to develop its program variety and in extending its services, and that is why this type of cooperation with TAG-Org is of interest.” He added, “All our business depends on the use of databases; we are looking forward to further developing this with TAG-Org; and likewise, TAG-Org can benefit from our services as we cover a vast area in Jordan in terms of media outreach.”

There will be a frequent reporting system placed for following-up on the MoU topics and all joint activities to ensure continuous improvement in fulfilling the objectives of both parties.

Among the discussed topics during the meeting included creating a joint syndicated program between Ro’ya TV and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Business and Culture Radio (TAG-BC) to transmit economic, cultural and educational news.
