We welcome cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization to serve development projects in Jordan – Dr. Gallagher
AMMAN- December 21, 2011----- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) took part in the USAID Fiscal Reform II Project (FRP II) meetings held in Amman.
Dr. Mark Gallagher Chief of Party and a host of FRP II team members discussed the latest developments in which Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed on the importance of economic and political reforms to walk side by side in Jordan ensuring the ability of the Kingdom in kick-starting the economical corrections through the capabilities of its people.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said that what some Arab countries are witnessing is an Arab renaissance and not spring as labeled by Western media predicting that its positive impact will touch the whole world in addition to the West whose people will revolt due to the fact that governments are not able to provide the services which citizens were blessed with pointing out that after years of decadence comes prosperity.
"Renaissance in the Arab countries will take some time that is why the Arab world should have patience in dealing with it and benefit from it," he added.
He said that Europe except Germany is faced with instability and it will face a renaissance just like the Arab countries as it became weak in providing services to its citizens and some countries have already reached bankruptcy pointing out that France will face revolution of the poor as it comes in the second place after Italy.
On the local front, HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said "Focus is usually directed to corruption in the public sector and here in Jordan we need to point out corruption in the private sector too."
Meanwhile, Dr. Gallagher expressed their readiness to have meetings with TAG-Org to discuss ways of cooperation to serve development projects in Jordan.
