Abu-Ghazaleh Participates in the 10th Anniversary Celebrations of the Establishment of the Supreme Council for Women

MANAMA ------------- December 20, 2011 ----------- Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim, wife of HM the King and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW)., and upon the invitation extended by the Higher Council of Bahraini Women, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) participated in the celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Higher Council for Women and the Bahraini Women's Day.

The Supreme Council for Women has organized the Economic Forum for Bahraini Women under the theme “Bahraini Women in the Economic Development: Partnership and Achievement”, which aims to highlight the distinctive landmarks in the march of Bahraini women as an effective and active partner in the sustainable economic development.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness has inaugurated the exhibition of the pioneering Bahraini business women and entrepreneurs where media products and services were displayed that reflect the creativity of young Bahraini women.

Her Highness honored institutions that provided support to the Supreme Council for Women’s programs and projects during the past ten years.

Moreover, Her Highness has expressed her deep appreciation for all the guests who accepted the invitation and participated in this important celebration. She also said “We are proud to shoulder the responsibility of the Supreme Council for Women under the direct royal guidance and supervision and with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the support of all our partners to realize the Council's message underlining the important role of Bahraini women as a partner capable to continue building our homeland and to sustain its achievements."

On the other hand, Her Highness Sheikha Hussa bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, member of the Supreme Council for Women and President of the Young Pioneers has reviewed accomplishments and inventions achieved by the young business pioneers that earned all admiration and appreciation.

The participants have highly valued the distinct achievements of the Council under the patronage and guidance of Her Highness and the President of the Council at all levels in a way that fosters and enhances the role and capacities of women to realize their aspirations in the economic, cultural and social fields.
