The Paris Opera dedicates one of its entrance Pillars to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh

AMMAN – March 22, 2016 - The world famous Opera House “Palais Garnier” in Paris posted the name of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh on one of the main Chandelier post at the “Ramp de l’Empereur” at its entrance.

The recognition was in appreciation for Abu-Ghazaleh support and dedication to promoting music worldwide and was conveyed to Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh by the director of the Opera National de Paris.

The letter of recognition also thanked Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for being a member for so many decades on the circle of mecene (Patron) of the Paris National Opera. 

On his part Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh said that he is happy to see an Arab name at such a prestigious place in recognition of the role of the Arab World historically in the creation of music.

Since 1875, the outdoor lamps, caryatides and columns of Palace Garnier contributed to making Paris globally known as “Ville Lumiere” or The City of Lights.
