ASCA Opens New Branch at Yarmouk University

IRBID---October 30, 2011---- The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) opened its new branch at Queen Rania Center for Jordanian Studies and Community Service at Yarmouk University in a special ceremony attended by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, ASCA chairman, Prof. Abdullah AlMoussa, Yarmouk University president and Mr. Khaled Abu Zaid, Irbid City governor in addition to a host of educators, businessmen and officials.

Attendees toured the new branch which consists of two fully equipped halls and one lab that carries the name Talal Abu-Ghazaleh IT Lab equipped with TAGITOP; the first branded Arabic Netbook provided by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) in an effort to contribute to computer literacy in the Arab region.

The center will start organizing training courses in the fields of accountancy and the ASPA exams in addition to having a collection of publications and dictionaries.

Prof. AL Moussa thanked HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his contribution to the scientific fields and the country.

Meanwhile, HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said:"I feel humble at this great University which we are proud of and I am happy to be here sharing with you this marvelous occasion so we can partner in building the future leaders of the world."

HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his wish to establish a knowledge center to serve north of Jordan, saying: "It is a great honor to be here at Queen Rania Center for Jordanian Studies and Community Service and we appreciate having us here to serve our joint goals."

At the end of the ceremony which was broadcast live at Yarmouk FM, Prof. Al Moussa presented HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh with the University Shield while ASCA Chairman presented Al Moussa with the Society's Shield and another Shield for Mr. Ahmed AlOmari head of Queen Rania Center for Jordanian Studies and Community Service.
