During ASCA Annual Meetings in Dubai ... ASCA Announces Plans to Promote CIMA Certificate in Islamic Finance
16 Oct 2011DUBAI --- October 16, 2011--- The Arab Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCA) announced that its plans to promote the CIMA Certificate in Islamic Finance issued by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in Arabic and English.
ASCA's announcement came during the Society's annual meeting that was held at the Business Village - the Conference Centre of the Government of Dubai.
CIMA is considered the first international certification awarded by an accredited professional institution and has been developed to meet the growing demand for an internationally accredited qualification in the Islamic finance sector
The program of the Certificate is designed to equip students with necessary knowledge and skills in this active market full of challenges, and "CIMA" has worked with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and with the British Bank for the development of a professional qualification in this specialized area to help lead the global Islamic financing institutions.
HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that the initiative of launching an Islamic financing certificate comes at the right time, where the crisis of global banks directed more attention towards financial and Islamic banking activities.
He said that this Certificate is ideal for employees working in the financial services sector who have the desire to be part of this vital industry and want to refine their skills and expand their knowledge in Islamic financing.
Abu-Ghazaleh also stated that the Certificate is highly useful for those who wish to join the financial services sector and to specialize in this vital area; and its relevance lies in strengthening the capacity of professionals working in accounting or in law and those who provide advice on Islamic financial issues.
This Certificate covers the following study areas: Islamic commercial law, Islamic banking and takaful - products and services, markets and Islamic capital instruments, and accounting of Islamic financial institutions.
