Hamada: We Seek to Energize the Intellectual Property Protection Process
29 Apr 2003The Minister of Economy and Commerce Mr. Marwan Hamada has pointed put that the Ministry of Economy and Commerce seeks to energize the intellectual property protection process in both its literary and industrial aspects, and fight piracy, especially since Lebanon is concerned with joining the World Trade Organization.
This came in a speech he delivered at the opening ceremony for the meetings of the board of directors and general assembly of the Licensing Executives Societies – Arab Countries (LES-AC).
Hamada pointed out that the role LES-AC plays is a pioneering one, especially since it strongly supports the idea of creating an Arab Council for Innovation in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Arab Society for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
