29 May 2005The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) and Chairman of the Arab Regional Network of the United Nations Information and Communication Technologies Task Force (UN ICT TF), Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, delivered a speech at the Eighth Session of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development, which took place in Geneva from 23-27 May 2005.
In his speech, he called on individuals and societies to exchange expertise in the various disciplines of the sciences and technology, to minimize poverty, ensuring universal primary education, eliminating HIV, ensuring environmental sustainability worldwide in addition to fulfilling the other Millenium Development Goals. He stressed that through science, technology and cooperation, these goals can indeed be achieved by the year 2015.

- He was Vice-Chair of the United Nations Information and Communication Technologies Task Force (UN ICT TF), New York- USA ( 2001-2004).
- He was Chairman of the Working Group on Human Resources and Capacity Building (HRCB) of the United Nations Information and Communications Technologies, (UN ICT TF), New York- USA (2001-2002).
