AIPMAS & JAPM Sign MoU
22 Aug 2005AMMAN - The Arab Intellectual Property Mediation and Arbitration Society (AIPMAS) and the Jordanian Association of Manufacturers of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Appliances (JAPM) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to conduct a series of courses in the field of patents and trade secrets.
“The MoU entails that both parties will cooperate in the field of training and conducting specialized courses within the Arab Certified Intellectual Property program in cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business/ German- Jordanian University (TAGCB/GJU),” ASIP Manager Muotasem Dmour said in a press release.
“Trainees will sit for a comprehensive examination at the end of the course and those who pass will be granted the Arab Certificate of Patents of Invention and Trade Secrets,” he added.
AIPMAS aims at promoting and reinforcing the system of Intellectual Property in Jordan, and enhancing competence and knowledge of the personnel working in this field, in addition, the Society resolves conflicts of Intellectual Property through international arbitrators applying international rules.
JAPM is a voluntary non- profit association which has a member base of almost all pharmaceutical companies in Jordan. The Jordanian pharmaceutical industry which is primarily an export driven industry provides quality, safe and effective pharmaceuticals at affordable prices for millions of people worldwide.
