AMMAN - Jordan Customs Department held a training course Monday entitled Intellectual Property (IP), which targeted customs employees at Amman Airport Customs Office.
“The one-day training course aimed at updating employees on the latest information regarding trademarks and infringement, and how to detect fake products,” Lecturer and Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property Legal Consultant Ala' Musleh told ag-IP-news Agency.
Mosleh pointed out that the participants expressed their need to attend similar courses which broaden their knowledge and help them use new techniques to detect counterfeited items.
“We responded to this need and decided to organize IP training courses for customs employees throughout the Kingdom,” he added.
Last week, a similar course was held at the Customs Department’s headquarters, where Mosleh and AGIP Legal Consultant Sakhr Al Khasawneh discussed intellectual property issues and in particular trademarks and counterfeiting with the attendees.
