'Importance of IPR & IPR's Licensing' Seminar to be Held in Oman

MUSCAT - Under the patronage of Omani Under-Secretary for Commerce and Industry Ahmed Bin Hasan Al Dheeb, Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) is organizing a seminar on "Importance of IPR & IPR's Licensing and their Value to National Economy," February 19, 2006.
 
The Seminar, held in partnership with Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM), will focus on realizing the importance of intellectual property protection system and its effective role on economic development.
 
The program has been tailored to provide attendees with the basic information needed to establish a base of knowledge and expertise in the protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights.
 
Speakers will tackle licensing and technology transfer, financial evaluation of intellectual properties as a key factor of determining the viability of their commercialization as well as setting royalty rates, in addition to a specialized paper on the anatomy and structure of a license agreement in its legal, technical and financial aspects.
 
The event will be held at Knowledge Oasis Muscat, Building #1, Muscat Hall.
