Large Real Estate Projects in “Special Aqaba” Display their Experiences in Bahrain
21 Nov 2006AMMAN - A Jordanian delegation visited Bahrain last week, headed by President of the Council of Negotiators for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Eng. Nader Alzahabi. The delegation included a number of officials, in addition to owners of large investment projects in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ).
The delegation was welcomed by the President and members of the Bahraini Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and Bahraini businesspeople. The investing environment in Aqaba was presented, in addition to the investment privileges and opportunities in the city.
The delegation’s visit was successful with positive feedback from the Bahraini investors, who expressed their interest in investing in Aqaba, in various real estate, tourist and service-related fields, in addition to others.
The Executive President of the House of Gulf Financing Mr. Issam Janahi, confirmed the existence of successful Bahraini investment endeavors in Jordan, as the House of Gulf Financing possesses numerous large projects in the Kingdom (of Jordan), such as the Jordan Gateway project and the Royal Village, which is a major venture in Jordan at a cost of 1.25 billion dollars.
The Executive President for International Relations at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg), Mr. Mustafa Nassereddin, shed light on the significance of cooperation between TAGorg and ASEZA, as TAGorg is considered the largest Arab conglomerate in the field of professional services, including accounting, administrative consulting, training, intellectual property, legal services, information technology and capacity building. He also displayed the projects that the group will start in the region.
Also, Ms. Lyoni Matta, the Manager of Marketing for the “Saraya Aqaba” project, talked about it, which is expected to be completed in 2009. The main element of that venture will be the creation of an artificial lake surrounded by five-star hotels, sandy beaches, restaurants and entertainment facilities.
