Indian Businesses Meet His Majesty King Abdullah II

NEW DELHI - Their Majesties King Abdullah Bin Al-Hussein and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan concluded a three-day state visit to India from November 30 to December 2, 2006.
 
During the visit, King Abdullah held talks with Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as other senior officials and Indian entrepreneurs on different issues in the fields of law, medicine and healthcare, Information Technology (IT), biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology as well as oil and gas.
 
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) sponsored a key business meeting attended by their Majesties along with notable Jordanian and Indian businessmen. The meeting discussed ways of further enhancing economic, technical and business cooperation between India and Jordan.
 
On the sidelines of the visit, a number of meetings were organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Federation of the Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
 
The meetings tackled various issues including commercial arbitration, challenges facing the Indian economy and fighting counterfeiting, piracy and others.
