Steps Taken to Ensure Copyrights Protection
28 Mar 2007The Minister of Information, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulghaffar says Bahrain has taken measures to ensure the protection of copyrights. He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a course on copyrights organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP).
The Minister said Arab and GCC governments were focusing attention on the protection of intellectual property rights and working as a team to find remedies to over shortcomings.
The head of ASIP, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, emphasized that the course highlighted partnership between the ministry and ASIP.
Seventeen trainees from the GCC countries specialized in intellectual property affairs took part in the course which was the first vocational training in Arabic organized in the Gulf from March 17 to 27 by a team of intellectual property experts from WIPO and ASIP.
