Elections at the Bahrain Tennis Club

The general assembly for the Bahrain Tennis Club convened its regular meeting at 7pm the day before yesterday at the club headquarters in Aljufeer with the attendance of 47 club members entitled to do so, out of an original 93.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Hood Almanai, the clubs specialist at the General Institution for Youth and Sport and Mr. Hani Dasan, the representative of the auditing company Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International (TAGI).
 
The club members discussed with the board of directors the significant role that the board has played when it comes to volunteer work, and the efforts it has exerted to serve the members and ensure their comfort. The general assembly concurred with the administrative and financial reports for the year 2006 after the assembly’s questions on them were answered.
 
After the adoption of the reports, Club President Mr. Khamis Almuqleh, delivered a speech in which he praised the general assembly for entrusting him with the nomination of the chairmanship for the board of directors.
 
Afterwards, Mr. Yousef Haidar the previous Chair of the board of directors declared the resignation of the board, and an elections administrative committee was formed, headed by Mr. Mr. Hood Almanai, the clubs specialist at the General Institution for Youth and Sport. 13 members were nominated for the seven available seats on the board, and the elections resulted in the following:
Mr. Mohammed Yousef Abdullah with 43 votes, Mr. Khaled Ghaloum Ali with 40 votes and Mr. Khaled Abdellatif Kamal with 37 votes followed by the rest of the nominees.
 

The elected board of directors will hold its first meeting at the end of next week for the distribution of administrative positions.
