Registration for 'Patents and Inventions and Trade Secrets' Course Initiated

AMMAN - The Arab Intellectual Property Mediation and Arbitration Society (AIPMAS), affiliate to the Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP), announced on Monday that the registration for the third course of the Arab Certified Intellectual Property Practitioner (ACIPP) program has started.
The three-month course entitled "Patents of Inventions and Trade Secrets" will start on July 1, 2007 at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business/German University (TAGCB/GJU).
The program is comprised of four courses:
Module 1: Introduction to Intellectual Property
Module 2: Trademarks and Unfair Competition
Module 3: Copyrights and Related Rights
Module 4: Patents of Inventions and Trade Secrets

Module 3: Copyrights and Related Rights
Module 4: Patents of Inventions and Trade Secrets
Upon the completion of each course, students will sit for a final examination. Upon successful passing of the examination, they will receive a certificate. When a student passes final examinations in the Modules, s/he will be granted the full Arab Certified Intellectual Property Practitioner Certificate.
AIPMAS aims at promoting and reinforcing the system of Intellectual Property in Jordan, and enhancing competence and knowledge of professionals working in this field. Additionally, the Society resolves conflicts of Intellectual Property through international arbitrators applying international rules.
ACIPP is a professional Arabic program offering advanced teaching and training for Arab practitioners. It aims to provide an easier understanding of modern principles that govern IP, as well as access to knowledge and international developments, so that the practitioner may be able to provide his/her services in line with international standards.
