Global Compact Leaders Summit to be Held in Geneva in July

Abu-Ghazaleh: the Leaders Summit is open to all signatories of the UN Global Compact
AMMAN--- July 2, 2007--- The Global Compact Leaders Summit, the largest event ever convened by the United Nations on the topic of corporate citizenship, will be held at the UN Office in Geneva on July 5-6, 2007.
The “Working in Partnership with the United Nations to Create Sustainable Markets” Summit will be chaired by the UN Secretary-General HE Ban Ki-moon and Vice-Chair of the Global Compact Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.
"The invitation is open to all signatories of the UN Global Compact, and a selective number of senior representatives from governments and other organizations," Abu-Ghazaleh said.
"The Summit will focus on topics such as; human rights, labor market, climate change, anti-corruption, soft power of governments, partnerships for development and responsible investment," he added.
