Amman Chamber of Commerce and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization Organize a Seminar on Canton Fair 2013

The Amman Chamber of Commerce and in cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) hosted a delegation from China Foreign Trade Centre in a seminar held to promote China Import and Export Fair “Canton Fair 2013”
 
AMMAN-------- September 2, 2013  ---------- The Amman Chamber of Commerce and in cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) hosted a delegation from China Foreign Trade Centre in a seminar held to promote China Import and Export Fair “Canton Fair 2013” its 114th version which will be held  in three stages; the first will be held from October 15 till 19, 2013, the second from October 23 till 27, 2013, and the third from October 31 till November 4, 2013 at China Import and Export Fair halls in Canton, south of China.
 
HE Mr. Riyad Al Saifi, Head of Amman Chamber of Commerce highly praised the Jordanian – Sino relations labeling it  as "special and historic" and  based on strong and firm foundation.
 
He stated that holding commercial fairs is one of the major effective promotional methods for increasing the amount of trade exchange between countries considering its importance in introducing each country’s goods, merchandise and products. He also wished the commercial event all the best and success in achieving the specified goals while unfolding Amman Chamber of Commerce’s willingness to cooperate in all kinds of means and facilitations to promote this major fair and encourage the Jordanian private sector to participate therein.
 
Mr. Leo Gian John, Vice President of China Foreign Trade Centre, valued the Jordanian – Sino relations and its longevity, he also praised the Jordanian participation in the China fair which reached last year 1220 companies from different trading sectors.
 
He said in regards of the importance of this fair: “China Import and Export Fair has been held ever since its opening in the spring of 1957 twice a year in spring and autumn, and it is considered the biggest commercial fair to be held in China with a huge variety of goods and a wide range of attendees in addition to an intensive trading activity. This fair represents a comprehensive international and multi-purpose event which is organized by China Foreign Trade Centre of the Ministry of Economy”.
 
He also added: “The fair is known to be one of the oldest fairs in China; it is distinguished by the number of merchants and countries participating and its high standards in addition to its global reputation, the comprehensiveness of the presented goods and the benefit reflected on participants. He pointed out that participants can review all the products and previous fairs through our website and there is also an office for Intellectual Property protection which also presents its services”.
 
On the other hand, Mr. Luay Abu-Ghazaleh, Vice President of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) pointed out that China Fair selected TAG-Org to be its representative in Jordan to be a linking tool between the Jordanian merchants and those in charge of the fair. This step was taken to accentuate the Jordanian participation in the fair considering the close cooperation between TAG-Org and China which resulted in the opening of the first teaching Chinese institution in Jordan “TAG-Confucius” in 2009 in addition to accrediting TAG-Org as the official authority in Jordan to apply for a Chinese VISA through TAG-Visa.”
 
As widely known, this fair is periodically held in Canton – south of China which is characterized by its economic significance. The fair is believed to be one of the most important Chinese and international fairs ever held with the participation of hundreds of thousands of merchants and visitors from different countries worldwide.
