AMMAN - Mr. Zweifel Mandela, the grandson of the icon for the struggle against apartheid and oppression in the world, Mr. Nelson Mandela, has expressed his deep thanks to the well-known Arab economist HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), for his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, praising his great role in defending the Palestinian people’s struggle for independence.

The “Global Campaign to Return to Palestine” has recently hosted Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh as a guest of honor at the 5th Global Convention of Solidarity with Palestine, in recognition of his ongoing efforts to support and advocate the just cause of Palestine at the Royal House of Mandela in Johannesburg, South Africa. In his recorded speech then, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh urged the conference to draft a statement honoring freedom fighters from Palestine and other countries of the world who deserve to be honored at the Royal House of Mandela.

Mr. Zweifel said, “I express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, and I am very honored to accept his kind invitation to visit Jordan,” adding, “I am profoundly looking forward to our collaboration as well as exploring various avenues for joint cooperation dedicated to furthering the noble cause of Palestine.”

In addition, he reaffirmed his commitment to engaging in fruitful discussions, promoting meaningful partnerships, actively participating in initiatives that enhance the shared goal of supporting the Palestinian cause, exchanging ideas, and developing strategies that will positively strengthen the cooperative endeavors towards a just and durable solution for the Palestinian cause.

In his message, Mr. Zweifel also emphasized the importance of the noble goals and vision of justice shared between Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and Nelson Mandela. He pointed out that Nelson Mandela, the world’s symbol of commitment to justice, showed great interest in the Palestinian cause, and consistently urged people worldwide to unite in support of the Palestinian people’s rights, much like Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, today, who has firm position, as a hero from Palestine, in defending those rights.

Mr. Zweifel added that Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s efforts fall in line with the principles and values that Nelson Mandela upheld, which advocated the dedication to justice, equality, and the goal of establishing a world free of oppression and abuse. He went on to reiterate that the ongoing struggle of the Palestinians is a source of deep inspiration to all leaders all over the world.
