Abu-Ghazaleh Receives Yarmouk University and Islamic Bank Delegations

ASCA office at Yarmouk University by holding training courses and qualifying them to keep them updated with their educational progress until they can continue their regular studies in their respective universitiesAMMAN----- September 30, 2012------ HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, president of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) received Dr. Ahmed Omri, director of Queen Rania Center for Jordanian Studies and Community Service at Yarmouk University, Dr. Mufleh Al Jarrah, director of Jordan Islamic Bank, Irbid Branch and Dr. Shadi Al-Shaqran, head of Training Division at Queen Rania Center. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Salem Al-Aouri, ASCA Manager and Ms. Rasha Abu-Afar, ASCA Officer at Yarmouk University.
The meeting discussed the possibility of providing services to students of Syrian universities through ASCA office at Yarmouk University by holding training courses and qualifying them to keep them updated with their educational progress until they can continue their regular studies in their respective universities. It has also been agreed that Syrian students wishing to participate in these courses pay out their fees in installments.
The meeting also tackled ASCA's activities in the fields of training and qualification that will shortly cover all universities in north Jordan under the administration and supervision of ASCA office at Queen Rania Center for Jordanian Studies and Community Service at the University.
Dr. Mufleh Al Jarrah indicated the significance of including specialized courses related to banks in the training plan such as the Islamic Finance Certificate offered by ASCA, creditworthiness and others. He also expressed the willingness of Jordan Islamic Bank- Irbid Branch to offer one month training to any person participating in these courses.
On the other hand, the idea of accrediting ACPA qualification as part of the curriculum of the Bachelor of Accounting program in Yarmouk University was raised in the meeting.
