ASCA Holds a Training Course on Financial Analysis at Queen Rania Center

IRBID------- February 22, 2012------- The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) held recently a specialized training course entitled Financial Analysis at the Queen Rania Center for Jordan Studies and Community Service - Yarmouk University.
The course was attended by a host of trainees from the Jordan Islamic Bank, the Rural Group and students and staff of Yarmouk University.
The main topics discussed at the course included the concept of the financial analysis, its importance, types of financial analysis, understanding the financial statements of an entity, funding resources, uses of resources, financial analysis of resources, financial statements analysis, cash flow analysis and its significance and other methods of financial analysis (horizontal analysis - vertical analysis- time series), as well as evaluation of capital investments.
The training course targeted those wishing to obtain a deeper understanding of the methods of applying financial analysis, managers, decision makers, officials and employees involved in costs, investment, procurement and finance, in addition to specialists in the field of accounting, auditing, along with financial managers, accountants, external and internal auditors and financial analysts, the Central Bank, banks, corporates, public and private sectors in addition to students.
Dr. Mufleh Al Jarrah, director of Jordan Islamic Bank – Idun Branch applauded the efforts of ASCA and its role in the development of the profession and its contribution to the training of the banking institutions staff.
Dr. Al Jarrah stressed his readiness to support the contributions of the northern branch of ASCA through holding training courses to other banks staff in the future.
He highly commended the advanced level of knowledge and administration provided by ASCA, represented by its lecturers and administrators for the proper organization and professionalism in providing the services.
Mr. Fahm Al Mousa, executive director of ASCA thanked Dr. Mufleh Al Jarrah for his cooperation with the Society stating that this specialized course is the third in a series of professional courses that have been held since the opening of the branch in October 2011.
That is in addition to other courses scheduled to be held by ASCA branch in Irbid Governorate during 2012 for the local community in the north part of the Kingdom.
