Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh Patronizes the Inauguration of the 18th Lamba Cultural Initiative
07 Mar 2024AMMAN - Under the honorary patronage of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and founder of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), the activities of the 18th Lamba (which is translated to lamp in English) Cultural Initiative were launched under the title "Mishkat". The event included a plastic art exhibition, a book and publication bazaar, interactive sessions, and exploring several inspirational success stories.
In his opening speech, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in the talented and gifted individuals and artists, highlighting their role in developing and enriching intellectual content as well as the dissemination of art and its message. He further urged participants to keep honing their skills and gaining more experience to become global.
The opening ceremony included a minute of silence for the souls of Palestinian martyrs killed by the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, with emphasis of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh that what is happening in Palestine in general and in Gaza in particular is the first stage of liberation, adding that every occupation throughout history ended with liberation.
For his part, Mr. Suhaib Al Kiswani, founder of the Lamba Cultural Initiative, thanked Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his unwavering support to intellectuals and youth, as well as for patronizing the event, presenting Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh with the Initiative’s Honorary Shield. Additionally, Mss. Rasha Amro and Batool Shamlakh, two artists, also presented paintings of their work to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh.
The event included awareness-raising, motivational, and comedy sessions, in addition to book signing for 20 writers, and an exhibition of plastic arts for 80 artists.
Lamba Cultural Initiative was established in 2017 as a voluntary initiative. It aims at empowering Jordanian talented and gifted people and highlighting their creativity through holding and organizing various cultural events. Its mission is to embrace and enrich intellectual and cultural content at the individual and societal levels, as well as spreading art and its message.
