Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Higher Population Council
09 May 2019 AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) and the Higher Population Council (HPC) signed an agreement to enhance cooperation between the two parties in a set of professional services offered by TAG.Global, particularly in the area of staff capacity building.The agreement was signed in the presence of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and founder of TAG.Global and HPC Secretary General, Dr. Abla Amawi.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed the important role and mission of the HPC in raising awareness concerning issues related to development and population through well-oriented and carefully designed programs that contribute to the efforts of encountering demographic challenges in accordance with the population policies in Jordan.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh voiced TAG.Global's readiness to support the Council by disseminating knowledge and offering capacity building services for its staff , ‘along with other institutions in our beloved country’.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his happiness to sign the agreement stating that capacity building became an urgent need in the era of technological advancements, noting that staff development will be positively materialized in the quality services they offer to citizens and by keeping abreast with the labor market needs.
For her part, Dr. Amawi praised TAG.Global role in developing the local community by providing an array of quality services that contribute to the development and progress of the society. She also underscored the importance of the signed agreement in providing professional and training services, mainly in HPC staff capacity building in the fields related to the nature of their work.
Dr. Amawi underlined the Council’s constant keenness to establish efficient partnerships with the private sector institutions which are considered to be the backbone of building economic development and an important component in supporting demographic policies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
It is noteworthy to mention that the two parties agreed to form a joint team to identify the Council’s training courses which will be held at TAG.Global headquarters; either at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy and/or Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation.
