TAG-ACC Discusses Challenges Facing Anti-corruption in Jordan
15 Oct 2017 AMMAN - The TAG-Forum Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (TAG-ACC) held several meetings since its launch last July with the aim of showcasing the challenges faced by anti-corruption efforts in Jordan.
During one of the meetings, the Forum’s Chairman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the importance of the National Integrity Charter (NIC) and the (Executive Plan), and the 2013 First and Second Monitoring and Evaluation Report of the Royal Integrity Commission.
Osama Al Azzam, Head of Rasheed Coalition for Integrity and Transparency, said that the main objective of the committee is to support the Forum’s vision to push society towards becoming a knowledge-based one with the goal of increasing gross domestic product (GDP) to $200 billion by 2040.
Al Azzam called for the necessity of reviewing the National Strategy for Integrity and Anti-Corruption 2017-2025 as a stepping stone for the activity of the committee, in addition to reviewing “Evaluation of the National Integrity System of Jordan 2016”. He also invited members to offer their suggestions and ideas for the development of the committee's work and swift achievement of its task to the highest standards
