Abu-Ghazaleh patronizes 'Jordanian National Orchestra' and 'Fountain of Love Choir' concert, celebrating Easter, at the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Saint George.

09 May 2017 Amman – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh partronized a concert presented by the Jordanian National Orchestra and the Fountain of Love Choir at the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Saint George. The magnificent performance included a medley of hymns in celebration of Easter.

Attended by priests, Ambassadors, members of the Christian community, in the presence the Minister of Culture HE Mr. Nabih Shaqm, the concert aimed at conveying a message of love, through constructive inter-religious interaction in an atmosphere enhanced by the beauty of Christian religious music.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed, his happiness for attending and organizing the concert adding: “I am delighted to be with you as faith in God and love unites us. Love is the most powerful weapon in the world and cannot be stopped”. Dr. Abu Ghazaleh also expressed his appreciation for the work of the Jordanian National Orchestra performers and the Fountain of Love Choir, which he affirmed represent the biggest source of power and inspiration.

On his part, Choir founder Mr. Tomah Jbara also expressed, his gratitude for Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh's patronage of the concert. He briefly introduced the Choir, which he said was founded during Christmas in the year of 2002 to perform

Christmas carols. At that time, Mr. Jbara added, the Choir included few young people, but with time it expanded to include at present around 80 members both singers and musicians of different ages and from different churches. The Choir’s repertoire includes both western and eastern music and since its foundation it had presented various concerts and masses in Jordan and abroad, Mr. Jbara explained.

Throughout the concert the Choir, alongside the Orchestra, performed several hymns: (God’s Love, Jesus Life, Psalms, Byzantine Lethargy, Pray for us Mary, On the cross, Christ has risen up, Lord-Hallelujah) and others.
