JOrchestra Salutes Odeon Theatre with an Exceptional Performance
17 Jun 2015AMMAN-----June 17, 2015-------The Jordanian National Orchestra Association (JOrchestra) celebrated an evening of exceptional performance at one of the most popular locations in Jordan, the Odeon Theatre in downtown Amman held under the patronage of HM Queen Noor Al Hussein.
Deputizing for the Queen, Amman Mayor HE Mr. Akel Biltaji highlighted the efforts exerted by JOrchestra members headed by its chairman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.
The evening started with well-known Holberg suite of Greig, followed by the notes of the renowned Adagio of Albinoni in a solo performance by Ghassan Naji, the rhythm of De Falla’s Danse Espagnole in a solo performance by Sameer Abaidoh, the Flute Concerto of conductor Mohamed Osman Sediq in a solo performance by Hassan Al Faqir, then the Cello Concerto of the great master Bach by Fadi Hattar and concluded by the Simple Symphony of Brittin.
Attendees who represented diplomatic missions and local classical fans filled the theatre with their cheers and enjoyment.
Dr. Abu- Ghazaleh appreciated the performance of the Orchestra musicians asserting that such events organized by the Association is indeed timely in terms of the current situation in the Arab region as music represents the soul as well the remedy for bodies.
Abu-Ghazaleh commended the audience, in particular, parents who accompanied their children emphasizing to such event of classical musical. He also emphasized that parents should focus on guiding their children towards classical music.
