TAGCAITC Develops its Programs to Support the Transition of Arab Governments towards Knowledge Society

TAGCAITC provides training and e-examination services to employees of public institutions, universities students, institutes and schools, as well as business sectors

AMMAN--------- October 9, 2011------------ Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Center (TAGCAITC), the exclusive accredited center from University of Cambridge, is developing its programs to serve the transition of Arab governments, public and private institutions and businesses towards knowledge-based society.

For nearly a decade, TAGCAITC has worked in cooperation with Cambridge International Examinations “CIE”, the largest provider of international qualifications in the world, in preparing and providing advanced programs on computer and Internet use, email, spreadsheets, word processor, databases and presentations, and publishing such usage in around 500 approved training centers in all Arab countries.TAGCAITC Develops its Programs to Support the Transition of Arab Governments towards Knowledge Society

The Center provides training and e-examination services to employees of public institutions, university students, institutes and schools, as well as business sectors and aims at providing the society with the basic skills of computer use, to promote their capabilities and cope with information and communication technology toward forming knowledge society.

Today, TAGCAITC prides itself on its prominent outreach and role in qualifying hundreds of thousands from different age categories and sectors including employees of ministries and public institutions and providing them with high quality IT skills.

Currently and in the Sultanate of Oman, a training project is underway for around 30.000 employees of civil service as a first stage.

Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Civil Service has accredited the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills certificate with its various levels, as it qualifies its holder for appointment or promotion in the civil service scale. Also, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation has accredited the certificate, where more than 200 centers throughout the Kingdom were approved.

In Jordan, the Ministry of Education requires obtaining the certificate as a condition for appointment and promotion and considers the certificate a substitute for the computer teaching material for all students of public and private universities. In addition, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research have also accredited the certificate.

In response to such interaction and services. Increasingly, the certificate obtained the accreditation of several governments, international organizations, universities, government sectors and professional institutions in other countries including the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education in the UAE, the Central Agency for Information Technology, the Ministry of Education and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training in Kuwait, Training Development Center affiliated with the Ministry of Labor in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Ministry of Higher Education in Lebanon, the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Yemen, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East “UNRWA”.

TAGCAITC is one of the non-profit projects implemented by TAG-Org upon an initiative and a decision from HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh. The Center was launched on the basis of TAG-Org's responsibility, mission and vision which entail provision of advanced training and qualification programs in all fields according to the latest knowledge and skills, in order to contribute to serving the trends of Arab governments in benefiting from the knowledge era and participating in its making.
