Participation in the Third Arab International Accountancy Conference

AMMAN – Under the organization of both the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) and the Bahraini Society of Certified Accountants and Auditors, a large group of Arab and foreign auditing and accounting experts will be meeting in Manama, Bahrain, during the period of April 10-12, for the Third Arab International Accountancy Conference.
The conference will discuss the issues and concerns of the profession. There will be professionals from this important sector participating from Jordan, including university professors, economy experts and businesspeople.
 
The conference will take place under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifah Bin Salman Al-Khalifah, the Prime Minister of Bahrain, and will be presided over by Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of ASCA.
 
The conference is being convened at the same time another seminar is, in conjunction with the UN Center for International Cooperation. That seminar’s interests revolve around the status and formulation of accounting standards in Arab states.
 
This Arab international gathering will be a golden opportunity for Arab and foreign experts to meet and exchange ideas and information between academics, practitioners, businesspeople and financial statement users in light of the economic changes ongoing globally.
 
Research and papers will be presented dealing with numerous professional issues, the most important of which is ongoing training for accountants and auditors, in addition to the issue of taxes from the perspective of legislators, professionals and lawmakers. Also, the conference will address a program to unify Arab accounting standards and to adopt international accounting standards.
