Arab Society of Certified Accountants Participates in the Events of the Third Scientific Conference for Accountants

CAIRO – The events of the Third Scientific Conference for Accountants concluded in Cairo. It was inaugurated by Dr. Atef Sidqi, the Egyptian Prime Minister, with many specialized professionals participating, such as Dr. Hussein Baha’a, the Egyptian Minister of Education, and Dr. Ali Lutfi, former Prime Minister of Egypt.
 
One of the conference sessions was headed by Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA). The governors of both the Egyptian Central Bank and the Faisal Islamic Bank participated in this session.
 
The conference sessions addressed the importance of applying international accounting regulations and the importance of supporting auditing documentation, and the significance of this in privatization of the public sector. The conference also dealt with how the implementation of these regulations and supporting pieces of documentation is important in fulfilling developing economies, and how this implementation assists in facing the changing realities we face in our contemporary world.
 
It is worth noting that ASCA will be organizing an international conference in Dubai during December 18-20 on accounting standards, in conjunction with Info-Center Dubai.
