Third Accounting Conference to Convene Next April

AMMAN - Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA), stated that the third international accountancy conference will be held during April 10-12 in Manama, Bahrain.
 
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh added that the conference, which will be held under the title “Challenges Facing Arab Accountants”, will discuss numerous presentations that address the challenges Arab accountants face and ways to overcome these challenges, in addition to legally organizing the profession and highlighting the formulation and development of specific legislations. Further, there will be a seminar on qualifying accountants and the role of universities and societies in this regard.
 
He added: “The holding of this conference in which an elite group of intellectuals, businesspeople, university professors and dignitaries in the field of accounting at both the Arab and international levels are participating in, occurs almost at the same time of the next ‘Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting’ meetings, which will take place under the title ‘Establishing the Formulation of Accounting and its Principles in Arab Countries’.”
 
 

It is worth mentioning that the second international accounting conference was held in Amman under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Hasan during March 19-22.
