Regular Annual Meeting for Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Group

05 Sep 1993
AMMAN – The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Group held its annual meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, during August 23-27.

Participating in the sub-meetings were 120 officials, managers and employees from the organization, in addition to a number of Arab and foreign guests.

The event addressed the accomplishments of the organization during the last year where it achieved a qualitative leap in all activities and services it provides to its clients, as the Group’s rate of growth reached 26%.

Afterwards, an elaborate discussion took place on the five-point plan for the institution, and the motto of “Providing Comprehensive Service to the Client” was adopted. This is to be achieved through developing the performance and quality of services the Group offers its clients wherever they may be.

Based on the plan adopted by the general assembly, the Group defined the rate of growth for next year (1994-1995) to be 40% for all its activities. It is worth noting that there was a training seminar within the event on “qualitative administration and time management” delivered by Dr. Edward Gress, Head of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Center for Administration Studies.
Also prior to the convention, a training seminar was held for audit managers and the main auditors in the organization that lasted for four days. This addressed topics relating to improving the performance of the Group such that it moves from being a regional institution to a global one that is at a level superior to that of other global companies.

The Group decided to begin a new activity which is “Credit” and expanding its work by opening new offices. At the end of the meetings, plaques were distributed to the best offices and employees.
One plaque for the best employees was awarded to Mr. Ibrahim Nikhalah from the regional office in Amman.
