ASCA Participates in the Activities of the Third Scientific Conference for Accountants

AMMAN – The activities for the Third Scientific Conference for Egyptian Accountants concluded in Cairo yesterday.
 
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Atef Sidqi, the Egyptian Prime Minister, and attended by a large number of experts interested such as Dr. Hussein Baha’a, the Egyptian Minister of Education and Dr. Ali Lutfi, the former Egyptian PM.
 
Presiding over one of the conference sessions was Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh from Jordan, Chairman of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA). Participating at this session was the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt and the Governor of the Islamic Bank.
 
The conference sessions addressed the significance of implementing international accounting laws and auditing practices and the importance of this when it comes to achieving privatization in the public sector. They also addressed the importance of all this in fulfilling developing economies that are able to face the challenges being witnessed in our contemporary world.
 
It is worth noting that ASCA will hold an international conference in Dubai October 18-20 on accounting standards, in cooperation with Infocenter-Dubai.
