Conclusion of a Training Course on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights

The Arab Society for the Protection of Intellectual Property (ASPIP) held yesterday a training course entitled “The Protection of Intellectual Property Rights.”
 
The session discussed a set of working papers on intellectual property rights in general, the conceptual evolution of intellectual property protection, the impact of the TRIPS agreement from the legal point of Jordan «copyright-trademark-patent», the Jordanian patent law, relevant international agreements, copyright laws as a whole, the commercial relationship between the Jordanian legislations and the TRIPS agreement.
 
Many business/law-people, economic figures and also representatives of several private companies have attended the course.
 
The work papers were presented by specialists, who are: Dr. Abduallah Khashrom from Mu’tah University, Ms. Amani Jarrar from the Civil Service Bureau, Mr. Fouad Mroh from the Ministry of Industry, Mr. Samer Al-Tarawna from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Naif Hijazi from Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) and Mr. Tawfiq Zuwid, the Manager of Arab Society for the Protection of Intellectual Property (ASPIP). 
 
 
It is noteworthy that this course comes as part of the intensive courses program which the Society intends to hold this year. All of these courses deal with different and specialized topics in trademarks, patents, industrial designs and copyrights.
