King Adbullah at Davos Economic Forum

As Chairman of the ICC Commission on E-Business, Information Technologies and Telecom (EBITT), Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh participated in numerous activities and meetings held at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh was amongst numerous Arab businessmen and investors representing the Arab Business Council at the Davos Forum that met with His Majesty King Adbullah Bin Hussein at the forum. The king expressed joy and optimism due to the collaboration between Arab businesspeople and investors, stating that that is the type of future people in the region look forward to.
In a statement after the meeting, Abu-Ghazaleh said that trust was the main message that Jordan succeeded in conveying to the international investment community, in addition to establishing a real partnership between the private and public sectors. He reiterated the importance of such a partnership and the necessity of enhancing it such that both partners become on equal footing.
During the forum, Abu-Ghazaleh headed the ICC delegation that met with the heads of the WTO divisions, prior to which he chaired over EBITT meetings. Those meetings reviewed the agenda and action plans for 2003 and the points to be raised with the WTO Secretary-General.
