Ministry of Education Adopts International Cambridge Certificate for Advancing its Employees

AMMAN - The Ministry of Education has decided to adopt the certificate of the Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Awards (AGCA) program for advancing the Ministry’s employees, based on a decision by the central committee for promotion of teachers’ ranks. This certificate will be considered the substitute of the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL).
 
The ministry will begin implementing this program as soon as the establishment of foundations and methodology of execution is complete. This will be conducted in such a fashion that in order for the employee to advance, he/she will be offered the option of choosing either the ICDL or AGCA programs.
 
The decision came as a result of the contemporary necessities inclusive of technical and computer usage skills, and with the aim of developing human capabilities and transforming them towards a digital society and e-government, in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah the Second Bin Hussein.
