'Fundamental Strategies of IP Protection' in Cairo Next October
30 May 2004CAIRO- The Licensing Executives Society - Arab Countries (LES-AC) is organizing a conference entitled “Fundamental Strategies of Intellectual Property; R&D, Innovation and Licensing” October 4-6 in Cairo, Egypt.
The three-day conference, co-organized by the Science House for Intellectual & Industrial Property Services (SIPS) and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International (TAGI) will focus on the importance of Research and Development (R&D) in pharmaceutical and IT sectors, innovations and licensing.
The economic development of companies in these sectors will also be tackled, in addition to mechanisms on how to protect and exploit the acquired Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).
Speakers will underline important practical issues related to pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnological industries in one session. In another session, telecommunications, e-commerce & software inventions will be highlighted.
Moreover, the attendees will be given practical exercises on the basics of licensing; licensing negotiation and its implementation.
