PRESS CONFERENCE: THE GLOBAL COMPACT LEADERS SUMMIT

The Global Compact Leaders Summit, chaired by Secretary-General Kofi Annan, assembled some 400 chief executive officers (CEOs) and civil society and labour leaders to meet at UN headquarters today to take stock of the Global Compact and chart its future course.  The following is a press conference of the high-level panel composed of representatives from business, labour, and civil society who briefed the press on the Global Compact Summit today:
