JPC Signs Deal with TAGorg to Hold Cambridge Exam

AMMAN - A cooperation agreement on e-training between the Jordan Post Company (JPC) and the Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Center (AGCAITC), a member of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group (TAGorg), was sealed yesterday.
 
Under the agreement, a special center at JPC will be prepared and provided with an electronic copy of the program certificate, in addition to exam controls and the necessary technical support. Moreover, JPC will begin the training of 500 of its staff under the first phase of the agreement, and conduct a study for the gradual training of the entire JPC staff.
 
The Cambridge Diploma for IT Skills is divided into two levels. The first is the Foundation Level which requires candidates passing four of the program's modules which includes: Introduction to IT; Electronic Communication Using MS Internet Explorer;Word Processing Using MS Word; and Using PC and Managing Files with MS Windows. As for the second level, which is the Advanced level, candidates are required to pass each of the four above-mentioned modules in addition to three others which include: Spreadsheets Using MS Excel, Databases Using MS Access and Presentation Using MS PowerPoint.
 
The agreement was signed by Mr. Amin Kamel Kiwar, the Director General of JPC and Mr. Mustafa Naseredin, Executive Director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International in Jordan.
 
Each of Kiwar and Naseredin expressed their optimism to what this agreement might achieve in the future with regards to the IT capabilities of those working in the post sector and the reflection of that on the company's offered services, in addition to the advantage that its training center holds, being one of the exclusive internationally accredited centers that offer the Cambridge IT Skills Certificate to any private or public institution seeking to benefit from this program.
