ASIP Roundtable Today - Customs Department Role in Protecting IPRs

AMMAN - The Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP) is holding their monthly roundtable on Saturday to discuss the Jordanian Customs Department’s role in protecting intellectual property rights (IPRs).
The meeting will be held at ASIP Headquarters on the Abu-Ghazaleh Campus in Amman.
The roundtable is moderated by Judge Hazem Al Smadi, chief Judge of the First Instant Court, head of Development Directorate of the Ministry of Justice and chairman of the ASIP Teaching and Training Committee in Jordan. The opening speeches are given by Alia Abu Aisheh, Customs Procedures Department and Emad Nosaeir, head of the Customs Researches and Studies Department.
The discussions will reinforce the significance of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Jordan’s Customs Department and Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) on July 18, 2005, aimed at increasing cooperation between the two parties and enhancing their efforts in protecting IPRs.
